System Status

What is live, what is coming, and what is not yet ready.

This is an honest account of where every feature stands. Status is updated as capabilities pass their quality gates. Nothing is described as available until it genuinely is.

Current state

QuranTEL evidence search is live — source-traced answers available now.

The canonical Qur'an corpus has been reviewed and approved (6,348 source records, 6,236 content ayahs, 114 surahs). Evidence-bound AI search is active. Every answer is traced to reviewed source material and labelled non-authoritative.

Technical readiness

Detailed system status — honest and current.

Public website readiness is separate from canonical approval. A public website can operate under governance controls while the canonical corpus verification and full public release remain pending. Each gate passes independently.

Permanent limits

Some things are not "coming soon" — they will never happen.

These are not features waiting in a queue. They are capabilities that QuranTEL will never offer, by design.

No fatwas

QuranTEL will never issue fatwas or religious rulings. This is enforced at the system level — not a policy that can be changed by configuration or user request.

No autonomous AI authority

AI-assisted content in QuranTEL will always be labelled as non-authoritative synthesis. No AI output will ever be presented as a religious verdict, scholarly opinion, or authoritative interpretation.

No unverified sources

No source will ever be used in a public response without passing the QuranTEL review process. Sources without a complete review record are blocked, not passed through.

No merging of layers

Translation will never be presented as revelation. Commentary will never be presented as Qur'anic text. These distinctions are maintained absolutely and cannot be toggled off.

How status changes

Each feature unlocks through its own quality gate — independently.

When a feature's status changes from "in progress" to "available," it is because every check in its quality gate has passed. The gate includes provenance verification, authority classification, named reviewer sign-off, and an explicit approval decision. Nothing opens without all checks passing.

Status changes are announced through the early access notification system. If you are on the waitlist, you will be notified when a feature you expressed interest in opens.

QuranTEL is not a religious authority.

QuranTEL is an evidence resource for personal study. It does not issue religious rulings, does not make religious verdicts, and does not substitute for qualified Islamic scholarship. All features — present and future — operate within this boundary.

For religious guidance or rulings, always consult a qualified scholar or imam.
