How QuranTEL search will work

Governed search — not a generic keyword search.

When search opens, results will be filtered by authority tier, source layer, and approval status. Every result will carry the full provenance trail — showing exactly where it came from and what level of authority it carries.

Query governess

Every search query is processed against approved retrieval-eligible material only. Quarantined or unapproved resources cannot appear in search results.

Authority-ranked results

Results are ranked by source authority tier — Qur'anic text before translation, translation before commentary, commentary before contextual reference.

Layer-labelled display

Each result clearly shows what layer it comes from. Arabic text, translation, tafsir, and scholarly opinion are never silently merged in results.

Provenance trail

Every result links to its full source record — including intake date, reviewer, checksum, and authority classification.
